The diversity and madness, the charm and absolute commitment, the unpredictability and spontaneity of international street art are waiting for you at the Pflasterspektakel. The stage, or the street to be more exact, was set for the festival in Linz in 1987 and it welcomed artists mostly from Austria and Germany at that time. Now it has became the world’s leading festival of street art with participants from more than 30 countries. Circus acrobatics and the street theater artists, theater in caravans, wooden marionettes and shadow puppets will entertain and surprise you at Pflasterspektakel. Each year the organizers try to introduce innovations and new attractions for the visitors. These are impressive improvised performances of mimes, a “make-believe area”, which is a stage presenting shows for children or a breathtaking shows on hydraulic stilts and trampolines. If you are enthusiastic about spending a weekend in a joyful and astonishingly friendly atmosphere, then you are more then welcomed to Pflasterspektakel.
