Menstrual Hygiene Day. (MHD, MH Day in short) is an annual awareness day on May 28 to highlight the importance of good menstrual hygiene management (MHM).

The 28th May marks Menstrual Hygiene Day to break the silence, raise awareness and change negative social norms surrounding menstrual hygiene around the world.

Menstrual Hygiene Day want to create a world in which every woman and girl is empowered to manage her menstruation safely, hygienically, with confidence and without shame.

Amongst women who experience heavier periods adequate daily iron intake is particularly important and may be difficult to achieve with diet alone, meaning supplementation may be required.
