One of the many unique festivals celebrated in Varanasi is the Dhrupad Mela. The festivities associated with this Mela infuse a new lease of life into this ancient city, which is considered as one of the holiest cities of the world. The Dhrupad Mela is celebrated in Varanasi on the Tulsi Ghats during the month of March. The mela is a five-day long celebration of music and people from all over the world visit the city to be a part of the celebrations.

A number of well-known artists assemble in the city to perform at the festival. Tourists interested in soaking the culture of Varanasi along its musical melodies and traditions should head to the city.
