Every year, outstanding talent is honored with Filmfare Awards in a grand ceremony. The prestigious awards were incepted in the year 1954. The awards were given to the best talent in the film industry. The winners for the awards were selected by the public (readers of the Filmfare magazine who cast their votes). The film ‘Prem Rog’ bagged several awards in various categories. ‘Prem Rog’ was one of the romantic films made that year, directed by Raj Kapoor.
